Cookies

This site sets no cookie, uses no tracker and does not measure its audience. There is therefore no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

The site stores one single piece of information in your browser, in session storage: your reading position, for the time of a language switch, so that you are returned to the same place on the page. It is erased as soon as it is read back, it never leaves your browser, and it cannot identify you.

Third-party content, loaded only if you ask for it

The site calls no third-party service when a page loads: no script, no pixel, no redirect, no remote font, no map. There is a single external content, and it loads only after you click: the demonstration booking calendar, provided by Microsoft Bookings. That click is announced where it happens.

Until you click, your browser does not contact Microsoft. Once you do, that provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its policy.

Privacy policy for the Q-Bot Mobile application

Your privacy is important to us. That’s why we process as little data as possible.

Q-Bot Mobile app scans the local environment to find and connect to your Q-Bot Device through BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). Depending on the device, the Q-Bot Mobile app would require location, bluetooth, accessibility and nearby permissions enabled. In addition, Q-Bot Mobile app listens to notifications received by another app the user previously selected and sends the text of the notifications to Q-Bot Device via BLE.

The bluetooth, location and nearby permission enable the Q-Bot app to scan, identify and connect to the Q-Bot device through BLE. The accessibility permission is required for the Q-Bot app to select a particular app whose 2FA test cases need to be automated. The accessibility permission enables the Q-Bot to read the notifications received by the selected app. Please note, the accessibility permission does not enable Q-Bot app to help individuals with accessibility, rather it provides a means for the user to listen to the notification of the other app selected by the user.

Q-Bot Mobile app does not communicate nor exchange data with any other system except with Q-Bot Device. The data sent to Q-Bot Device corresponds to the text received by the app the user selected. The text is used to trigger actions on Q-Bot Device but it is not saved. The Q-Bot app and the device work together to automate 2FA use case scenarios for the QA team.

The user of the Q-Bot mobile app does not need to do any kind of login or registration to use the app. No personally identifiable information is collected from the app.
